We are opening this weekend!

At last we have confirmation of our opening date and we can’t wait to throw open the gates on Saturday, 4th July and welcome you back. It’s been a very tough few months hasn’t it but now it’s time to plan those weekends (or weeks away) and look forward to relaxing away from lockdown.

We also can’t wait to help pour the life back into Suffolk and it’s so exciting seeing the opening dates of some of our favourite places. How wonderful will it be to sit on the terrace of our favourite pub, The White Horse, just a short walk away or wander around our world famous Framlingham Castle? We can now head back to Aldeburgh and enjoy the town’s renowned delicious fish and chips on the beach or something a little healthier from Munchies. The wonderful Woodbridge Thoroughfare is open and vibrant again tempting you with its lovely shops and bakery. Framlingham Market, which has kept us all fed throughout lockdown, is the perfect destination on a Saturday morning with its fabulous array of fish, fresh vegetables, bread, cheese, pies and coffee.

The following list gives you a flavour of all our local favourites that are opening this weekend:

Our wonderful local, The Easton White Horse (fab takeaways too)
Over the Moon, coffee van at our delicious Framlingham Market (Tuesdays and Saturdays)
Friday Street Farm Kitchen - brand new restaurant to be found on the road to Aldeburgh
Easton Farm Park - fabulous family day out just a short walk from us
Framlingham Castle
The Greyhound, Petistree - also doing great takeaways

Do make sure you are following us on Facebook @LetheringhamWaterMill and Instagram @letheringham_mill as we will keep you as up to date as possible with Suffolk news.

We’ve spent our lockdown getting everything ready for your return and have just finished putting in new flooring into The Old Stables and Woodshed. There is now a lovely new laminate flooring in both cottages replacing all carpeting.

Rest assured our cleaning procedures are as stringent as ever – we continue to adhere to our strong cleaning routines which have been in place since before lock down – your health and safety are our priority.

The gardens are looking particularly stunning and have loved the few days of rain we’ve just had. Don't worry though, plenty of sunshine ahead and did you know Suffolk is one of the driest counties in the UK?

So going abroad may be more tricky this year but we’ve always said how much more fun a staycation can be and when we’re as Dog Friendly as we are, why would you ever want to leave your four legged friends behind? So dig out your diaries, seek out those suitcases and start planning. See you soon.

With lots of love,
Richard, Jacqui, Amber, Ted and Lola 🐾
