Our 'Jewel in the Crown' within the historic Letheringham Water Mill

We probably channeled the best of our creativity into producing the Riverside. Snuggly nestled within the historic Letheringham Water Mill itself, this is a rare historic space to relax with every creature comfort – and comfort for every creature. (Well, dogs at least anyway!)

Enjoy the atmosphere of this amazing building. See the impressive wooden water-wheel illuminated from the viewing galleries located within the passageway ‘snug’ (complete with cosy sofa) and upstairs, in the master bedroom. Meticulous care has been taken to restore this truly beautiful property, formerly a tea room in the days when Letheringham Mill opened to the public as a rural attraction.

The light, views within these surroundings are made by the ebb and flow of the adjoining river. With lush gardens and rolling farmland beyond, it's a perfect rural idyll less than 20 minutes' drive from the superb beaches, castles and seafood restaurants of the Suffolk Heritage Coast.

This cottage is ideal for a romantic break for a couple with possibly a child - or guests holidaying with their pet / alternative child!

Living

The ground floor living room is extremely spacious. Fully wood-clad walls are painted in tasteful neutral colours.

The expansive red leather sofa - and the ceramic wood-effect tiled floors in dove grey - make it ideal for dogs and country living.

Huge French patio windows and shuttered windows make it perfect for viewing the stunning Suffolk sunsets.

Eating

The kitchen has fully fitted bespoke units and a limestone worktop with an amazing reflective white glass splashback.

Amongst many of the design elements to be found here, you'll most enjoy our amazing boiling-hot water tap - no need for a kettle ever!  The American fridge-freezer has built-in ice maker and cold filtered water.

Sleeping

There is one master bedroom with an amazing  Superking bed complete with a Relyon memory foam mattress.  Warm rugs, soft throws and lovely lighting give this room a gorgeous feel.

Bathing

The attention to detail is fantastic, with Porcelanosa ceramic tiling,. You'll marvel at the floor-over-ceiling mosaic of designer tiles and the effect it gives this chic wet room.

Garden

Enjoying both meadow and riverside patios, it is a beautiful space complete with plenty of seating. As the sun sets over your very own dream day, the awe-inspiring landscape provides the backdrop for the stars. Sit snuggled outside with a warming drink as wave after wave of stars illuminate the deep velvet sky. A perfect way to enjoy your luxury romantic holiday in Suffolk.
